Okinawa is home to a unique culture that differs considerably from that of mainland Japan. Until the islands were invaded by the Satsuma domain (present day Kagoshima Prefecture) in 1609, Okinawa existed as an entirely separate country from Japan, known as the Ryukyu Kingdom.

After the invasion, the Ryukyu Kingdom served as a tributary state to Japan, but continued to be governed by the royal family from Shuri Castle. It was not until 1879, a few years after the Meiji Restoration, that the kingdom was abolished and incorporated into Japan as Okinawa Prefecture.

The castles of Okinawa, known as “gusuku” in the Okinawan language, are among the most vivid monuments that testify to the unique cultural and historical heritage of the Ryukyu Kingdom. In the year 2000, five castles and four related sites were designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites under the collective title of “Gusuku Sites and Related Properties of the Kingdom of Ryukyu”.

Shuhe Old Town is an ancient trade post for tea caravans between China and the Red Sea. Although more than 1,000 years have passed,, the township still retains its past glory as a cozy village. A square surrounded by stores of various wares is the only bazaar in the township.

After breakfast, depart for a tour to Black Dragon Pool, the Old Town of Lijiang, Wangu pavilion on Lion Hill and theMu family’s Mansion. (Dinner at local restaurant)

Day 03(Sat)   Lijiang (B/L/D) 

Today we depart for a full-day excursion to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, including a cable car ride to Glacier Park; White Water River (also known as Blue Moon Valley); Jade Water Village and Yuhu Naxi Village.   Enjoy the famous Impression of Lijiang Show which is directed by the famous film director, Zhang Yi Mou. (Dinner at local restaurant)

油桐花开了。曾几何时，油桐成了台湾春夏最美的花姬。今春暖凉不定的多变天气，不影响桐花绽放脚步，四月天，雪白桐花悄然跃上枝头，为台湾山林带来“夏雪”美景。赏桐何需远走，台北四兽山区的桐花林，现已进入美丽赏花期。

受到天候异常影响，近年油桐花期错乱，几乎全年均可见花开。今年春季天气反复摆荡在晴雨冷热之间，雪白桐花仍然如期于春天飞上绿叶枝头，一簇簇妆点绿树青山，宛如白雪冬景再现，也吸引游人追逐赏花。

油桐树开的花，被爱花人昵称桐花，花开时白花成簇堆聚绿叶上头，有如冬雪轻覆枝头，加上花朵随风吹飘落，模样更像是雪花，因而赢得“夏雪”美名，虽然四月便见桐花开，但因盛花期落在五月间，又有“五月雪”的封号。

The festival or Tshechu in Bhutan are one of the fundamental examples of the culture in Bhutan that many people have come to admire and treasure it. The Tshechu or festival is performed in Honor of Guru Rinpoche, the saint who brought Buddhism to Bhutan.

Tsechus are performed in almost every district attracting thousand of Bhutanese people in A spirit of festivity and deep faith, the festival last up to four days in which a series of highly Stylized masked dance rituals are performed. Tshechus takes place throughout the country in every district at different times of year. The local Tshechus are often more interesting as Visitors get better perspective of a festival.

南疆指新疆境內天山以南的廣大區域，古絲路的南北兩道就橫貫於此，主要的少數民族是維吾爾族、塔吉克族與柯爾克孜族。南疆是典型的沙漠風光，民族色彩特別濃烈。
