A Different Kind of Adventure Lodge

The Bivou Lijiang, located in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Lijiang, is a designer guesthouse for the modern adventurer. Housed within two historic farmyards built by the area’s Naxi minority tribe, our 16 rooms look out over private gardens landscaped to reflect the full color and fragrances of the changing seasons.

The Bivou was borne out of a simple idea: an adventure lodge that is authentic and sustainable, and sets new standards in comfort and style. Built around farmhouses that have stood on the site for over a hundred years, The Bivou stays true to its roots and celebrates the authentic building techniques of the local villagers. At the same time, sustainability lies at the core of all that we do. On top of this we’ve added our own unique Bivou touches, and imbued our rooms and spaces with a designer aesthetic which wouldn’t be out of place in Shanghai or New York. Who says adventure travel can’t be stylish?
It’s time for a different adventure.

GreenIslandTours 2012 New Travel Advantures ~ Winter Kanas Photography Tour Package

Kanas Lake, located in the valley of the Altai, China’s Northwest Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is a famous natural resort. Colors of Kanas Lake vary in the different seasons and weather. Its beauty and mysterious folk tales attract many tourists.

In the winter, it turns into a fantastic world of ice and snow, where visitors will find a remarkable view of crystal snow willows and frozen Kanas lake covered with thick snow.

Apart from Kanas’s charming and mysterious scenery, Tuwa people, a Mongolian tribe living at Kanas Lake, is a major attraction. The valiant ethnic minority is good at equestrian, skiing, and hunting. Kanas Lake and Tuwa people, integrating with each other, constitute the unique views and folks at Kanas.

Taiwanese movies have earned a high reputation in international film festivals over the past few years, giving a different impression of Taiwan, with its vitality of soft power and culture, to the whole world. Last year, the number of visitors to Taiwan reached a record of 5,567,000; to keep the number rising, the Tourism Bureau is targeting 4 categories of tourists: young backpackers, senior couples, young women, and families. A brand-new international promotional film was shot, using movie production values for the first time, to incorporate the island’s natural beauty and cultural diversity into a short film. The beauty of Taiwan is shown through both images and sound to portray Taiwan’s warmth and hospitality to from tourists around the world.

Time for Taiwan—My Beautiful Island”親自操刀，跳脫政府宣傳的框架，顛覆以往景點式或偶像式的拍攝手法，以重拾人情味作為臺灣旅遊的最大賣點。 It’s time for Taiwan!”
The most meaningful element of a trip is “people”, who give tourists their most lasting memories, and it is friendly interpersonal relations that make Taiwan a unique destination for tourists from all over the world. The Tourism Bureau invited director Johnason Lo, who has won international Promax, iF Design, and red-dot awards, and Michael Fimognari, a well-known photographer with two Emmy awards to his credit, to help produce the film, “Time for Taiwan—My Beautiful Island”. The film takes a completely different perspective, and focuses primarily on interpersonal relations at their most unique. The film is designed in a way that escapes the constraints of a rigid government promotional film, and also abandons the old fashioned style of a drama or a scenic-spot-oriented film. The images in the film are seen through eyes of four groups of tourists and through their stories in Taiwan, which show vividly the excitement and discovery they experience during their journey. A trip can produce in tourists valuable memories and a desire to come again. This is what the film, “It’s time for Taiwan”, tries to tell everyone in the world: come experience this beautiful island.

Welcome to a world where the colours are more vivid, where the landscapes are bolder, the coastline more dramatic, where the history is more compelling, where the tastes are more divine, where life is lived in the fast lane. This world is Vietnam, the latest Asian dragon to awake from its slumber.

Fasten your seatbelts as Ho Chi Minh City is a metropolis on the move – and we’re not just talking about the motorbikes that throng the streets. Saigon, as it’s known to all but city officials, is Vietnam at its most dizzying: a high-octane city of commerce and culture that has driven the whole country forward with its limitless energy. It is a living organism that breathes life and vitality into all who settle here, and visitors cannot help but be hauled along for the ride.
